David Fielding
Charcoal, Pastel, Acrylic and Ceramics

Now retired, my working life was in Construction as a Civil Engineer, and a period in the Middle East in a Contracts office working for an oil company.

Therefore, no connection with Art, although always interested as a viewer. Upon retirement, I was invited to join an art course at Calderdale College, Todmorden, and with trepidation, I agreed, three years later, emerging with an HND in Fine Art.

I have a studio at the Railway Station, Todmorden, and enjoy producing prints and drawings. My usual medium is pastel. Most recently, I have produced several ceramic head sculptures, all abstract and usually mirror black. Most of my work involves the human head or form in some way.
