We are always happy to welcome volunteers to help staff the Gallery - opening hours as listed below. Please contact the Gallery if you are interested and can spare a few hours. You will be assured of a warm welcome. ______________________________________________________________
Platform One Gallery is now fully booked for 2010 and details of exhibitions throughout the year can be seen under DIARY. The volunteers manning the Gallery will be pleased to see you whether you are interested in purchasing an art work or just wish to browse at your leisure, perhaps even whilst waiting for or alighting from a train. Opening times remain at 11am to 4pm every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday whilst an exhibition is running. There are two entrances to the Gallery, one from Platform One and one from the car park. ______________________________________________________________
THERE WILL BE A SALE of art
works between 11am to 4pm on Thursday, Friday, Saturday &
Sunday, September 30th to October 3rd. This will be a great opportunity to purchase
original art works at greatly reduced prices.
______________________________________________________________ Advance Notice: The Annual Open Art Exhibition usually held in the Town Hall in November will, for this year, be held in October as the Town Hall is not available to us in November. The dates are October 23rd and 24th. Application forms are available here. The competition rules are available here. A poster advertising the exhibition can be printed from here. If you are not on our mailing list and would like to exhibit, please apply to the Gallery on 01706 816070 for a form. ______________________________________________________________ PLEASE NOTE: The next meeting of the Art Group will be held in the Gallery on Wednesday 29th September at 7pm. ______________________________________________________________ Membership forms are available for anyone wishing to join the group. Please ring the Gallery, apply in person when the Gallery is open or print a form from here. ______________________________________________________________ The 11 artists' studios on Platform One are often open and if you wish to view these please enquire at the Gallery.
